Introduction: Sometimes, an image might get stuck in the Twain driver directory, which can interfere with the scanning process. In this article, we'll guide you through the steps to resolve this issue and ensure smooth scanning.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Locate the Directory:

    • Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the following directory: C:\ProgramData\Sirona\Sitwain\SIDIIN.
  2. Check for INI Files:

    • Inside the SIDIIN directory, you should see two INI files: in.ini and out.ini. These are the expected files in this directory.
  3. Identify the Stuck Image:

    • Look for any image files in the directory that does not belong there. These are the files causing the issue.
  4. Remove the Stuck Image:

    • Delete or move the image file that is stuck or doesn't belong in the SIDIIN directory. Right-click on the file and select "Delete." or "cut" and then paste elsewhere.
  5. Rescan Using Sidexis:

    • After removing the stuck image, open your scanning software (e.g., Sidexis). Ensure that your scanning hardware is properly connected.
  6. Initiate Scanning:

    • Within Sidexis, initiate the scanning process using the appropriate scan button or option. The software should now function correctly without any interference.
